Chinese New Year Pryar
Lunar New Year is an important time for all Chinese around the world. At Theravada Samadhi Education Association in Taiwan, Chinese New Year was celebrated with excitement.
On 26th Feb. 2009, the First Day of the Lunar New Year, members gathered at T.S.E.A. HQ in Taipei. After greeting one another good wishes, Ven. B. Chandima thera and two other Sri Lankan theras led the New Year prayer. Afterwards, Ven. B. Chandima thera gave us a sermon. He advised us to find time to engage in spiritual practice. In this volatile, forever chaning world, he said, we must find tranquility within. Therefore, no matter how busy we are, we have to try 5 to 10 minutes a day to meditate and learn Dharma.
